CONSIGNMENT POLICY:
Consignment Hours: By appointment only – Why are consignments by appointment only?
There are two reasons... First, during store hours we want to devote our time to shoppers and their experience. Second, appointments
are made based on the type of items you have for consignment and our immediate need for certain items. Please limit clothing items to
10 -15 items. Please see our guidelines for accepting clothing below. Furniture is based upon space availability and you may
want to visit our online classified page called CLASS ACT SHOWCASE on our website for large items or sets of furniture you want to move.
Payouts: Payout balances for consignors
are updated through our consignment Point-of-Sale software continuously and PAYOUTS are made by our
accountant at the conclusion of the 90 day consignment period only. Checks will NOT be
cut for items sold within the consigment period but are cut at the end of the period when all your sold items are combined
for one payout.
At the end of the consignment period (90 days), if there are unsold items, you may be given
the option of keeping your items on the floor for consignment an extra 15 to 30 days. This might be done if your contract
period ends a week or so before a holiday sale or promotion and we are looking to help you move any unsold unique items. In
cases where extending your consignment makes sense we will generally contact you, if you have selected to pick up items on
your consignment contract. We will give you one of two options: you may choose to extend your consignment period along with
your payout balance until we pull the items from the floor, OR you may choose not to extend and pick up your payout check
along with all your unsold items.
Printouts and Reports: When you bring items in for consignment, please make
a list for your own records of all items prior to dropping them off. We will enter all your items accepted for consignment
into our database. Please note - the date you sign your contract (day you brought your items in) and the
START DATE of the CONSIGNMENT PERIOD are generally not the same. The start date of your 90 day
consignment period might be two to five days later than the day you brought your items in to allow
us time to get your items into our database and onto the floor. This start date will be marked on your contract
below your consignor number (your ID #).
For your convenience we can email you a complete item history for your records but hard copy printouts
are kept limited to a "list of items sold" with your payout balance at the end of the consignment period. In order to request the
"status of your items sold" during the consignment period you MUST provide us with a valid email address as we cannot provide
hard copy records periodically for hundereds of consignors within their consignment period.
Clothing:
March - July -- we accept Spring and Summer Clothes
Mid-August through September -- we accept Fall and Clothing
October - January – we will accept Winter clothing, coats, hats, gloves and scarves
We are looking for designer clothing, currently in style (unless vintage) and all clothing must arrive freshly laundered,
free of rips, stains, and wrinkles. Also, please make sure clothing is free of cat and dog hair

Do we accept vintage? We accept vintage fashion accessories
such as hats, gloves and scarves. We also accept vintage costume and estate jewelry for consignment. We generally do not take

Class Act Resale will look through your items while you wait and give you back anything we don't
feel we can sell or currently have no room for on the floor. In many instances we will
turn down items that appear in excellent shape to sell but are deemed OUT OF SEASON. Class Act Resale Shoppe always wants
to have unique, fresh and appropriately seasoned items on the floor and for this reason we may ask you to take back items
that could sell better at another time or not at all. We reserve the right to set prices to best sell your
items. Items may be sold in our Lakewood store,
our e-storefront or via our website.
In some cases, Class Act Resale
may take large household, furniture or architectural pieces, or we may agree to consign such items through our e-commerce
store and have you hold such items until sold. Items sold exclusively through our online store may be subject to a monthly
maintenance fee that will be deducted from the consignor payout only if the item is sold. Such fees would only apply if we
discussed this with you at the time of entering into the consigment agreement or when new consignment items are added to your
account. We have no hidden fees.
All
items are consigned for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of this agreement. Each time you bring
in your items, you begin a new 90-day contract period, which is logged into our consignment software. Class Act Resale uses
our software to track the beginning date, end date, date sold and date returned of every item you bring to us. By checking
the box withing the consginment agreement the consignor agrees to leave it to the discretion of Class Act Resale
to markdown any items left for consignment. Failure to allow us the discretion to price modify and/or the consignor initially
insisting on setting the price too high, means that we may not be able to move your items within the 90 day period.
The consignor receives 40% of the merchandise selling price. The consignment payout is a 60/40 split. Class Act Resale will pay the Consignor forty percent (40%) of
any items sold during the consignment period. Payment may be picked up following the end of the consignment period after being notified
by phone that our accountant has cut your payout check. Once notified, payment must be picked up within six (6) weeks
following the expiration date of the consignment period or the amount due is forfeited. Check and listing payments
by mail may be requested with a charge of fifty cents ($0.50) deducted from the amount of your payout balance. At this
time, Class Act Resale has no monthly consignment fees or sellers fees (for standard consignments).
We do reserve the right to charge a small administrative fee of no more than $6.00 per month for consignments of MORE THAN
15-20 ITEMS or very large, bulky or very heavy items placed on the floor. In such instances we will discuss charges with you
in advance so you will be aware.
PLEASE NOTE - Class Act Resale is an upscale shop and we try to make it a win-win for both consignors and buyers. If
you bring us home decor items, artwork, furniture or antiques, please bring them dusted off and cleaned to the best of your
ability - that is if you want us to get you the best selling price!
- After the 90 day consignment period, consignors have the option of picking up their unsold merchandise or donating
them. Unsold items you want back must be picked-up prior to the end of the grace period following the end of your consignment
period. Items unsold and unclaimed (10 days after the consignment period) become the property of Class Act Resale and
are given to charity.
Class Act Resale is not liable for fire, theft or damage to your unsold items. Glassware, certain fragile and household
items and some clothing must be displayed for the public and could become damaged during customer or employee handling. It
is understood that Class Act Resale and its employees, though careful, is NOT responsible for damage that may make an item(s)
not saleable. Despite our videotaped security camera system, theft still does occur. All merchandise is left at your own risk.

One
final note to consignors ... Existing and New!
We
currently have over 300 consignors and the list is growing every week. If you have sold items through us already then you
know we are very fair. Almost all of our consignors want to reconsign, but with the growing number of consignors we are having
to be much more selective about the products chosen. This selectivity is necessary to maintain
the quality, uniqueness and presentation in the store. The store is full of product and every consignor
wants to see their product displayed nicely and not crowded in a corner - presentation sells! We are asking consignors
to go through their potential items and pick out the BEST 15 items or less. The answer is not to
throw everything including the kitchen sink into a box with the HOPES we will pick out something to sell on the floor.
This approach takes up too much time for scheduled appointments during the week and is quickly forcing us to be just
as selective about the consignors as the items they bring. Remember - we do not have consignment fees so asking us to
clean up and fix your items unless they are truly antique or vintage is difficult for us due to time constraints. Use
good judgment about the items you bring and we will be excited to have you reconsign with us. With time
being the most limiting factor necessary to clean up items, price them, enter them into our database and place them
on the floor for best presentation, we really do need better items from you the consignor. Buyers want to see unique,
quality items so Class Act Resale must do its best to find them to sell at the optimal prices even if it means being
selective about consignors. Thank you.
